About Me

I never really thought about how I would best describe who I am through writing until it came to having to write it down on this website, it seems slightly unusual to have to try to get myself across when this is something best done in person.

Personal

I would probably best describe myself as a friendly, excitable, determined, passionate person. When I find something exciting, something I love, something that sparks my imagination or curiosity nothing can really stop me from following it, learning more about it. This explains a lot about the subjects I have an interest in.

I would describe myself as a Geek, I have a love of many things that are the reason I am a part of this community. Some of these include; films, games, Disney, reading (books, comics, etc), TV, web series/content, cosplay, board games, amongst many others. These areas are a big part of my life, they helped shape who I am as well as other parts of my life.

Creativity isn't just confined to my life as a product designer, crafts and digital design are hobbies I am regularly involved in. Making items with my hands gives me a real sense of satisfaction whether its cosplay, 3D printing, making card props, sewing, knitting, etc, a lot of these skills were self-taught so as I make more I slowly get better which leads me to more confidence in taking on more challenging designs.

Other hobbies of mine include travel, analogue photography, and riding rollercoasters. These three often go hand in hand as some of my favourite subjects to photograph are Rollercoasters and Theme Parks themselves, the kinetic energy of the rides and the design of the parks give so much to capture in each shot. I share these hobbies with my partner so we love exploring new theme parks around the world together.

Professional

As a designer I am very adaptable, as can be seen by the range of industries I have been a part of. I can find inspiration in a lot of places and love the challenge and reward each one brings. I also have a high aptitude for learning new programmes and have done many times at different companies as well as in my personal time just for my own enjoyment.

The best way to get to know me as a designer is to look at my current work, and inquire if you have any further questions.
