During second year we working in pairs to design a customisable line of products that would be produced through rapid prototyping methods, we would also need to create a brand and an online profile to go along with the products.

Me and my partner Jordan Femi-Famakinwa choose to design for the gaming market, knowing that there is already a market for customisable products in this area from the existence of customisable controllers. We wanted to create a product that could easily be adapted on to different products.

The idea we came up with was a disc and mount, the idea is that the disc could be any colour with any surface design, with the mount allowing for it to be switched in and out at the users leisure. The current design for the mount allowed us to start to design products for it to be integrated into for the range of products. 

We both decided to focus on a product type each, I chose headphones for my product while Femi chose a gaming stick. 

After considering that some people may not be willing to buy a completely new set of headphones for customisation, so I designed a set of headphones with the mount as well as two different clips that can attach to existing headphones.

Once all of our designs were finished we came together to create a brand and website design together. Our brand was called Start Designs, to design our website we looked at existing websites in the market to help us make sure we did not miss any important elements before coming up with our final design.
